Meet Your New Tutors
Matthew Langlois - Founder + CEO Of Securities Prep, LLC
I am a Columbia University graduate who has previously held active FINRA Series 3, 7, 55 and 63 licenses. All exams were taken once, and I passed with superb scores. I specialize full-time in tutoring for the FINRA SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 exams.
After graduating from Columbia University in New York City I started work at a Futures trading firm and acquired my NFA Series 3 license. For three and a half years I helped develop pricing models for forward energy markets to objectively identify appropriate hedging opportunities. However, the corporate ethic was weighing on me, and found my true passion has always been helping my fellow colleagues who were in the process of studying for their exams pass so they could join me on the trading floor. I found that I not only had a special talent to adjust my teaching methodology to individual students and their needs, but also that I received enormous joy seeing my colleagues (students) grow and succeed with my help.
I worked on Wall Street for another four years and acquired my FINRA Series 7, 55, and 63 licenses before I decided to make full time tutoring FINRA examinations a reality. I could not be any happier.
The greatest fulfillment I get in this business is seeing my students literally transform into confident, upright test takers, and discard the shell of fear and indecision.
I’m a true believer in that positive thoughts make positive things happen. My focus is to put students fears at ease, giving them a structure that has proven 200+ students to date to pass the FINRA Series 7 exam. My plan is to help you achieve this not by memorizing formulas and lists, but to understand the underlying concepts that govern the topics in the Series 7 exam. This has profound results as conceptual thinking sticks.
I have tutored students for all the major bulge bracket firms and wirehouses; namely, Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, UBS, Blackrock, Jane Street, Jeffries, Wells Fargo, etc. I have also tutored many students from small Wall Street B/Ds.
A recent highlight was when I tutored the Series 7 and 63 exams to the creator of distressed debt trading for a win when the industry decided regulation was needed. He had 30+ years of experience on Wall Street, invented an industry from the ground up, and was one of the first 90 individuals approved for an American Express Centurion Card in the world. My adaptability across all age groups, demographics, and experience levels is second to none.
If you have 30+ years experience as an executive requiring a new FINRA license due to regulatory changes or are fresh out of college and a new hire at a B/D, I can guide you to that win you deserve and need.
Past recent students include: the Head Client Service Associate at Morgan Stanley for the #1 ranked PWM fund by Barron's, as well as a Fidelity student and several Merrill Lynch students. In the past three months alone I have helped four students pass the FINRA Series 66 exam, and have helped two students pass the Series 7 exam.
I get business done and my name on Wall Street as a tutor is a known quantity. I specialize in the FINRA SIE, Series 7 and 66 examinations.

A Note From Matt
I have been working with Esandra for years now, and can personally attest to her passion, creativity and ingenuity when it comes to all-things-finance. I mentored her through her own FINRA exam journey, and have watched her grow into the dedicated professional she is today. I can absolutely guarantee to anyone reading this that she is capable of delivering the same great learning methods that I utilize with my own students, as she has learned them from me. She truly embodies the mantra “Transformations - Not Transactions”!
